Welcome to our new style web site

The THG thought it was a time for our web site to have a ‘refresh’ and the site you see now is the result. Alex Clark recruited Richard Truscott to make the site using the WordPress system; we hope you like it.

If you have any comments on the new site, please let us know how you found it, we’d like to know the good as well as the bad.

4 Comments to Welcome to our new style web site

  1. Here’s an interesting use for old ‘phone box sites. In Ireland EIR the owner of the majority of phone boxes as partnered with EasyGO, a provider of car charging points to convert redundant phone box sites to recharging sites for cars. Each charging site is fitted with a high power fast charger. Good idea; what?

  2. In the latest journal John Mulrane gives the lowdown on how he built a US type Strowger demonstration exchange. One side issue he notes is that some of the equipment was donated by a small family owned telephone company, that appears to run just one exchange. In the world we’re used to having a very local telephone company seems odd and rather ‘nice’; just think privatisation could have gone that way, but didn’t.

  3. I’ve had to shut down the replies to blog items because we were getting ‘unwelcome’ items put up by person or persons unknown (not I suspect THG members).
